Because Your Time Matters — And So Does Mine. 🤍
At Chakra Esthetics, I understand that life happens. Unexpected emergencies, last-minute work obligations, family responsibilities, car troubles, and those days when nothing seems to go according to plan. We've all been there!
I genuinely understand how frustrating it can be when circumstances beyond your control interfere with an appointment you've been looking forward to.
And I also understand that being charged a cancellation fee during an already stressful situation can feel unfair.
So, I'd like to share why my cancellation policy matters — not just to my business, but to my ability to continue caring for you.
When You Reserve an Appointment, You're Reserving My Time
Chakra Esthetics is a small, independently owned practice where every facial, massage, and wellness ritual is thoughtfully prepared and time is reserved exclusively for you.
Unlike larger spas with multiple providers or walk-in guests, I operate by appointment only. When you reserve a treatment, that time is yours, and I turn away other guests who may have wanted that same appointment.
When an appointment is canceled with less than 48 hours' notice, it's often impossible to fill that opening.
That means the time reserved for your care becomes time without income.
Cancellation Fees Aren't About Making Extra Money
They're about protecting the livelihood of a small business.
As an independent esthetician and massage therapist, I don't receive a salary, paid vacation, sick leave, or guaranteed hourly wages.
When an appointment goes unfilled, there is no income for that time — even though my business expenses continue.
A cancellation fee helps offset a portion of that loss. It isn't a punishment, and it certainly isn't a reflection of how much I value you as a guest.
It's simply part of what allows Chakra Esthetics to remain a sustainable, one-woman business.
Why Consistency Matters
One of the hardest parts of owning a service-based business is balancing compassion with the responsibility of keeping the doors open.
I would love to accommodate every unexpected situation without a fee. But when exceptions become the norm, the financial impact adds up quickly.
Consistently honoring my cancellation policy allows me to maintain fair treatment for all guests, protect the time I've committed to each appointment, and continue offering the personalized care and unhurried experiences that make Chakra Esthetics special.
Please know that enforcing a policy is never personal. It's a professional boundary rooted in mutual respect.
A Little Consideration Goes a Long Way
If you need to reschedule or cancel, I kindly ask that you provide at least 48 hours' notice whenever possible. This gives me an opportunity to offer your appointment to another guest who may be waiting for an opening.
I understand that emergencies aren't scheduled, and I will always approach our conversations with kindness and understanding. At the same time, I ask for your understanding when my cancellation policy must be honored.

Cancellation Policy
The time you schedule is reserved for your exclusive use. When appointments are missed, or cancelled without sufficient notice, often CHAKRA ESTHETICS™ is unable to fill the vacancy, causing substantial financial impact to any business. Should you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment with CHAKRA ESTHETICS™ a 48-hour notice is required.
When you book an appointment online or over the phone at Chakra Esthetics, submit a New Guest Application or Service Preference Form, you are agreeing to our cancellation policies.
- Late cancellations with less than 48-hours notice or No-Show will result in a charge equal to 100% of the scheduled service(s)
- ACTIVE VIP MEMBERS that have services within an 4-8 week period consistently are only charged a flat $100 of scheduled service for less than 48-hours notice
- Chakra Esthetics™ will always try to fill the vacancy to avoid a fee, but sometimes this is not possible due to the short notice
Guests often think a cancellation fee is about making money - it's absolutely not. It's about time that cannot be replaced. When you book an appointment, that time is reserved just for you. If you cancel on short notice, it's often impossible to fill that appointment. The business still has rent, wages, insurance and running costs regardless of whether someone attends. A cancellation policy is NOT about punishing people when life happens. It's about making sure a small business can continue to provide great care. Boundaries don't damage good relationships. They protect them. Respecting someone's time is one of the simplest ways to show you value what they do.
Your payment information is secured by the booking system (STRIPE) and is not visible to anyone. If you provide a payment method that is invalid, you will be sent an invoice via PayPal and blocked from the booking platform until your fees are paid in full.
